4420 Series

The 4420 Series of heavier duty machines know as Compound Needle Feed Walking Foot Sewing Machines. All of the machines are designed to stitch upholstery type fabrics, leather and heavier threads.

The purpose of a compound needle feed walking foot machine is to sew two or more layers of fabric or leather with an equal distant stitch length and to greatly reduce the chance of ply slippage. In North America, this is the most popular sewing system for automobile and furniture upholstery.

The 4420 Series is also recommended for stitching light to medium-heavy leathers. One would choose this style of stitcher for sewing banners, tarpaulins, canvas products, webbing, tents, awnings, belting, hand bags, cases, and all manner and kind of products form the thickness of a sheet of paper up to almost 7/16" of textiles and thread up to size #207 or lager with special adjustments.

The standard models include a fully automatic lubrication system and sew up to 2200 spm on upholstery fabrics. All of the 4420 Series machines use a large Bobbin, Horizontal Axis Rotating Hook with a "U" size bobbin.

4420 RB

4400 RB LTHR, A single needle machine including a "Safety Clutch" mechanism designed to protect the machine from possible damage should the sewing machine "jam" from a thread lock-up or a broken needle strike the rotating hook point. The 2220 Series is a Double Needle, Needle Feed Lock Stitch Machine. Designed for High Production Sewing Applications.

The 2220 Series has Reverse Feed and Automatic Lubrication. 1/4 Gauge is Standard Sewing up to 4,000 SPM.

An example could be setting a patch type pocket on the rear of jeans or top stitching a dress shirt collar or pocket. For High Production Sewing Applications. Sews up to 4,000 SPM.
